1) What types of trees do I acquire, and what are they used for?
You acquire ownership of Eucalyptus and Paulownia trees, which are used in timber and biomass applications.
2) Why are these two species selected?
They are selected for their adaptability to local conditions, their predictable biological cycle, and the wide use of their products.
3) Is this cultivation experimental?
No. These are species that have been professionally cultivated for decades, with well-known growth and management characteristics.
4) Can I choose the species I buy?
No. Allocation is made operationally by the company, based on the needs and design of each plantation.
5) Can I buy multiple trees?
Yes. You may acquire multiple trees, subject to availability and the contract process.
6) What is the acquisition cost?
The acquisition cost per tree is €78.72 (excluding any payment processing fees, where applicable).
7) Are there hidden charges?
No. We do not apply undisclosed charges. Any applicable charges and terms are disclosed in the contract documents and supporting documentation.
8) Where are the plantations located?
To date, trees are planted on selected sites within Greece. The company also evaluates other geographic areas for further expansion, where this is operationally and legally feasible.
9) Why is the location of the trees considered sensitive information?
Because these are physical assets. For protection purposes (security, prevention of sabotage, and unauthorised access), precise coordinates are maintained in the company’s internal recordkeeping system (Tree Ledger) and are not publicly disclosed. Owners may receive an O.S.S. summary with status and usage information, as set out in the contract.
10) How is my data protected?
The company applies data protection policies in accordance with the GDPR. Your information is used for ownership identification, servicing the contract, and issuing required documentation/updates, as set out in the contract.
11) What happens if the trees are damaged or destroyed?
The company applies a risk management framework and response procedures. Replacement/exception terms and all relevant conditions are set out in the contract.
12) Can I sell or transfer my trees before the end of the term?
Yes. Ownership may be transferred to a third party in accordance with the process and terms of the contract.
13) Can I buy trees for someone else or as a gift?
Yes. ProspecTree provides a framework for gifting or transferring ownership to another person. The process is currently being finalised.
14) Can I gift trees to my child?
Yes. You may pay for the trees while registering ownership in your child’s name. If your child is a minor, a parent or legal guardian signs the contract on the child’s behalf. When the child reaches the age of majority, the child can assume contractual control in accordance with the contract.
15) What happens in cases of inheritance?
Ownership and any related contractual rights transfer to the lawful heirs, in accordance with the contract and applicable law.
16) What is the ownership framework for these trees?
You purchase identified trees as physical assets and grant a time-defined lease of use (lease-back) for professional cultivation and management under the contract. The 20-year term reflects the trees’ biological cycle, and end-of-term terms are defined in the contract. A gifted NFT may also be provided, linked to your Tree IDs.
17) Why does ownership end after 20 years?
The duration reflects the tree’s biological cycle and its nature as a physical, living asset. The specific terms and what applies at the end of the term are defined in the contract.
18) What is the NFT?
The NFT is a gifted digital identification certificate linked to a Tree ID. It is not intended for trading, is not a financial product, does not promise value, and does not create rights beyond the contract.
19) What is the Tree ID?
It is the unique identification number assigned to each tree within the company’s internal recordkeeping system (Tree Ledger).
20) What is the Tree Ledger?
It is ProspecTree’s internal recordkeeping system that documents each Tree ID’s identity and how the Usage Agreement applies (e.g., species, tree status, usage periods). Detailed records are maintained internally for documentation, audit, and legal support purposes.
21) What is the O.S.S.?
The Owner Summary Statement (O.S.S.) is a brief informational summary of selected elements from the internal Tree Ledger.
22) Is this an investment?
No. This is a commercial purchase of physical assets (trees) and a defined lease of use/lease-back under contract. It is not a financial product and it does not promise returns or profits.
23) If I buy many trees, is it considered an “investment package”?
No. Each tree is an individually identified asset (Tree ID). Whether you buy 1 or 1,000 trees, each purchase remains individual, asset-specific, and contract-based. There is no shared structure across owners.
